Abstract
THE Glochidia of Anodon are not always easy to obtain. They appear to be retained, and shed only when fish are swimming near. Tadpoles have the same influence as fish, and a good supply of Glochida may be obtained by examining the tails of tadpoles swimming in a dish in which a few Anodons have been placed.
