From: The gene for interleukin-21 receptor is the partner of BCL6 in t(3;16)(q27;p11), which is recurrently observed in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

Figure 4

Expression of IL-21R and BCL6 in lymphoma cells. (a) Northern blotting showing expression levels of IL-21R and BCL6mRNA in lymphoid tumor cells lines. Ten micrograms of total RNA was loaded in each lane. Jurkat, immature T-cell leukemia; ATL2, adult T-cell leukemia; KMH2, Hodgkin's disease; Raji and Ramos, Burkitt's lymphoma; FL-218, follicular lymphoma; KIS-1, diffuse large cell lymphoma with t(9;14); RPMI8226, multiple myeloma; and LCL-OHN, lymphoblastoid B-cell line. (b) Expression levels of Bcl-6 protein were comparable with those of BCL6 mRNA. Cell lysates were prepared from 1×106 cells and an aliquot was loaded. YM showed a lower molecular weight protein in addition to the 79-kDa Bcl-6 protein. (c) Indirect immunofluorescence of follicular lymphoma FL-218 and YM cells using an anti-Bcl-6 polyclonal antibody and a secondary antibody labeled with Alexa 488
