Abstract
FOLLOWING on a recent contribution in Nature1, it seems desirable to report briefly some work carried out in this laboratory and shortly to be published elsewhere in detail. Lalji Lal1 has produced the Schumann – Runge bands of O2 from 2450 A. to 4490 A. using a high-frequency discharge. He reports new bands which he has identified from small glass and quartz spectrograms.
