Abstract
CUPRIC ions are known to accelerate the autoxidation of dihydroxyphenylalanine. It has also been reported that the action of these ions in catalysing the oxidation of the amino-acid is much enhanced by the addition of certain substances which co-ordinate with cupric ions1.
