Abstract
THE ease with which the chlorinated hydrocarbons give rise to the development of resistance in Musca has led to the use of organo-phosphorus insecticides for controlling flies. However, development of resistance to some of these compounds appears possible also, although at present it seems to be less serious than in the case of the chlorinated compounds. An investigation into the mechanisms causing resistance to these substances has been undertaken.
