  2. BW tertile was a significant main effect for change in BF% (P=0.023), but neither exercise nor gender were significant. No other variables showed significant main effects or interaction effects.

  4. A three-way analysis of variance (exercise × gender × BW tertile), and χ2 test was done on the proportion of exerciser to non-exerciser ratio in each BW tertile compared with the national average.
