(a) Response curves to dissolved oxygen of magnetic sensor particles collected in the focus of the 980 nm laser diode beam (6 W cm‒2) using an external permanent magnet. Particles were dispersed in a 1:1 mixture of ethanol and water. (b) Calibration curves represented as Stern–Volmer plots of the luminescence intensity. The calibration data are KSV = 0.0445, f = 0.727, and R2 = 0.99947 for the magnetic particles (black squares) and KSV = 0.0616 hPa–1, f = 0.784, and R2 = 0.99943 for the non-magnetic particles (red dots).
