In this Article, errors in the length of the scale bars were inadvertently introduced into Fig. 3e and Extended Data Fig. 7b. The corrected Fig. 3e is shown as Fig. 1 of this Corrigendum and the corrected Extended Data Fig. 7b is shown in the Supplementary Information to this Corrigendum (both of the corrected scale bars are now shorter).
Also, the molecular weight markers (red rectangles) in Supplementary Fig. 1 (which gives the original gels for Fig. 2, showing the blot assessing the αA-cry, b-cry, g-cry and b-actin proteins) were erroneously placed. The corrected Supplementary Fig. 1 is provided in the Supplementary Information to this Corrigendum.
In addition, in Table 1, the values for the current and new treatment decimal acuities are followed by their standard deviations (not logMAR) in parentheses. The corrected middle section and footnote of the original Table 1 is shown as Table 1 of this Corrigendum, showing the values of the standard deviations. The source data for the corrections in Table 1 are shown in the Supplementary Data to this Corrigendum.
The original paper has not been corrected online.
