(a) In utero electroporation with the indicated plasmids was performed at E15.5 of CD1 mice. Layer 2/3 cortical neurons were then immunostained with GFP, DsRed and Myc antibodies at P3 to outline the cell morphology and determine the ER distribution in the neurons. The Z-series of the confocal images were processed with the Surpass Mode of the Imaris software (Bitplane). (b) The ratio of dendritic DsRed to somatic DsRed (D/S). Scale bar: 10 μm. Ctrl, non-silencing control. Four to five pups for each group were analyzed. The numbers of the examined neurons (n) are indicated. The data are presented as the mean+s.e.m. (error bars).
