After switching culture medium in the upper chamber for 24 h, the controlled and AU-treated cells were subjected to immunofluorescence staining and Western blot analysis of markers for TJ (ZO-1 and occludin) (a-d) and markers for AJ (E-cadherin and β-catenin) (e-h). Note that GAPDH served as the loading control and full-size scans of membranes of these cropped images are shown as Supplementary Figure S1.
