  1. These measurements are used to provide an estimate of the uncertainty in our reported lake ranges and volumes. For lakes smaller than 1,000 km2, we use the comparison with USGS gauge data to calculate MAE and bias.
  2. *For lakes larger than 1,000 km2, we use the USDA’s G-REALM radar lake height dataset.
