CEP-tagging demonstration. (a,b) Two single-shot XUV spectra at a relative CEP difference of π/2. The interference pattern in the spectral region above 100 eV disappears for (a). (c) Difference between spectral intensity and CEP-averaged spectrum, as a function of CEP. In the region below 100 eV a harmonic frequency shift is visible, corresponding to two complete harmonics within a 2π change of the laser’s CEP. In the region above 100 eV, changes in the spectral intensity with respect to CEP are observed to have a π-periodicity. The white lines mark the two single-shots shown in (a).
