The release of inflammatory proteins from renal fibroblasts and renal epithelial cells upon a UPEC infection. Primary human renal fibroblasts (HRF) and human renal epithelial cells (A498) were stimulated with CFT073 at MOI 10 for 6 hours followed by the analysis of 92 inflammatory proteins simultaneously using the proximity extension assay on the Proseek Multiplex inflammation panel. The protein data is presented as normalized protein expression units (NPX) where a high value corresponds to high protein concentration. Data are presented as mean ± SEM (n = 3 independent experiments). Asterisks denote statistical significance compared to respective unstimulated control cells (*p < 0.05, *p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001).
