Repeated stimulation of antigen-presenting B cells converted naïve CD4+CD25− T cells into Foxp3−CD4+CD25+ T cells with regulatory function. After long-term B-T cell-cell contact, Treg-of-B cells enhanced expressions of c-Maf, ICOS, CTLA4, and the production of IL-10. Treg-of-B cells exerted suppressive functions through CTLA4 and IL-10.
