Abstract
CERTAIN bacilli will not grow on nutrient agar containing hæmatin at a concentration of 1/20,000. Other bacilli do not appear to be affected by hæmatin. The organisms tested are shown in the following table, the figures in brackets being the number of strains of each species tested.
