Abstract
COMPARISON of tryptic peptide patterns has demonstrated the great overall similarity of the primary structure of hæmoglobins from normal adult man and anthropoid apes1. Work is now in progress to define this similarity more precisely. We report here the determination of the amino-acid composition of the polypeptide chains of gorilla hæmoglobin.
