Abstract
A RECONNAISSANCE gravity survey of the Republic of Zambia was carried out from 1971 to 1975 by the Geological Survey of Zambia in collaboration with the University of Zambia and The University of Michigan1. We present here a Bouguer anomaly map and preliminary analysis of the gravity data, in the context of the principal tectonic elements and structural characteristics of eastern and southern Africa.
