The long trail of debris left by a tuna sandwich

Sailors aren’t the only ones to get lost at sea. A study finds that more than 40% of floating devices deployed to lure tuna in the Indian and Atlantic oceans drift away from fishing sites, contributing to marine litter and threatening sensitive coastal habitats1.
